OVERVIEW
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EXTERNAL SALES FUNCTION WITHIN A BRANCH

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY IN THIS POSITION INCLUDES AMONGST OTHERS:

?MAXIMISE SALES POTENTIAL WITH EXISTING CUSTOMERS.
?CALL ON CUSTOMERS REGARDING THEIR NEEDS IN ORDER TO SECURE ORDER.
?FOLLOW UP ON QUOTATIONS AND ASSISTING WITH TECHNICAL QUERIES.
?EFFECTIVELY PRESENT AND DISCUSS THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES OF THE COMPANY WITH CURRENT CUSTOMERS IN A WAY THAT CONVEYS AN IMAGE OF QUALITY, INTEGRITY AND AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE CUSTOMERS’ NEEDS.
?NEGOTIATE BEST SELLING PRICE IF POSSIBLE.
?FOSTER AND MAINTAIN PROFITABLE RELATIONSHIP WITH CUSTOMERS ON BEHALF OF THE COMPANY.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• MATRIC CERTIFICATE/NQF LEVEL 4 ELECTRICAL QUALIFICATION OR THE EQUIVALENT;
• AT LEAST 4-5 YEARS’ SALES EXPERIENCE IN THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING INDUSTRY (ELECTRICAL BACKGROUND IS CRITICAL);
• PREVIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
REQUIRED:

¬ COMPUTER LITERACY (MICROSOFT PACKAGE, WORD AND EXCEL);
¬ AX SYSTEM KNOWLEDGE ADVANTAGEOUS.
