Our client is looking for an external sales representative to join their sales team. They are based in the Redhill area of Durban. This is a long term temp contract with the possibility of going perm in time
Requirements:
- Achieve maximum sales profitability
- Growth and account penetration within assigned territory
- Personal contact and securing new business accounts / customers
- Promote / sell / secure orders from existing and new clients
- Relationship building
- Demonstrations of company products and services
- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships
- Make calls and face-to-face appointments, do presentations to existing and prospective customers
- Market research
- Clear and effective proposals / quotations
- Expedite client resolutions – problems and complaints
- Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounts, logistics & technical departments
- Analyse the given territory’s potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customer’s value
- Identify advantages and compare company’s products / services to that of the opposition
- Plan and organise personal sales strategy by maximising the Return on Time Investment for a particular territory
- Supply management with verbal and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitor activities, potential for new products and services
- Keep abreast with latest market trends with regards to product range, product content, competitor activities, market trends, advertising trends
Reporting:
- Report directly to the Branch / Sales Manager
Qualifications:
- Must come from a FMCG sales background
- Good problem solving skills
- Determine solutions to customer’s needs
- Results driven
- Work both independently and as part of a team
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s licence – ESSENTIAL
- Own reliable transport – ESSENTIAL
Working Hours:
Mon – Fri: 0730 to 1730 (with 1 hour lunch)
