Key Outputs

Setting up moulds/tools on machines.
Conducting safe and efficient tool changes and operating Extrusion Machines.
Optimizing moulds/tools on machines.
Managing a production team to ensure that the production plans are met.
Maintaining equipment to the required standards and completing all scheduled planned maintenance
Conducting comprehensive handovers including relevant reports to incoming setters.
Conducting process fault finding to optimize the process and achieve the planned cycle times.
Ensuring that ISO 22000 standards including health and safety are maintained.
Making use of Operations Improvement Plan tools to continuously improve efficiencies.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Grade 12 or equivalent.
Extrusion Setting experience.
Ability to conduct basic machine maintenance.
Competent in the use of hand tools.
Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Working knowledge of compressors, chillers and cooling towers.
Awareness of quality, safety and operational requirements.
