Front Office Manager / Banqueting Coordinator.
4* Hotel Drakensberg - KZN.
Full Responsibility for all aspect of Front Office i.e. supervision of all front office staff, maintaining proper controls of all aspects of Front Office and maintaining guest service standards on a day-to-day basis. 
This includes ensuring punctuality and control of absenteeism, following disciplinary procedures when necessary, regularly checking appearance and uniforms of the staff, looking out for new ideas and means of control, ensuring that operating equipment is always in good working condition and that purchasing is done efficiently and cost-effectively. Substantial administrative controls form an essential part of the job. 
Dealing with all aspects of Banqueting co-ordination prior to arrival and following through with the co-ordination of the function/conference with all departments during their stay to ensure all instructions are followed and the function/conference proceeds smoothly and to the satisfaction of the guests. Attention to detail essential.
Responsible for all aspects regarding Debtors Accounts and that the Ledger amounts are kept within 30 days. 
Excellent administration skills required.
Attention to detail absolutely essential during coordinating weddings and conferences.
As a front-line position, it is essential that the candidate is very well presented, well-spoken, professional and friendly at all times. 
Demonstrated management skills; good judgment, common sense, strong sense of initiative and ability to handle pressure well. 
The ability to display a high degree of professionalism and integrity as befitting a member of management.
Excellent Guest Relation skills & Staff Relation skills required.
Strong computer literacy skills including a variety of computer software applications,
including the Microsoft Office Suite and a recognised hotel package.
This is a single live-in position which includes a unit with lounge/bedroom/bathroom with TV, tea/coffee making facilities, all meals and laundry. 
The position involves shifts and flexible hours including weekends and public holidays. 
Salary R8000.00 negotiable including accommodation & Company Benefits.
