R500k ctc (including benefits, plus commission.
Position falls within the Security Networks Solutions division.

Main purpose of the job:
Responsible for maintaining vendor relationships, inventory management, brand planning, price modelling, coordinating various activities, product sales training, finalizing promotions, sale of assigned products.

Education/Certification:
Relevant degree /diploma in sales, marketing, business studies advantageous.
Valid drivers license & own vehicle is essential.

Required Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of related Product portfolio.

Experience Required:
Three or more years of experience as a Channel Manager or in a combined marketing and sales position.
Proven successful track record.

Main job functions and responsibilities:

• Determines market strategies and goals for each assigned product and service.
• Obtains and organizes sales and product data for use in marketing plans and goal setting.
• Researches and develops potential customer lists for assigned products.
• Conducts market research to determine customer needs and potential matches to specific products.
• Evaluates product marketability related to customer needs.
• Assist in the selling of the assigned products.
• Develops long-term, ongoing relationships.
• Develops and delivers professional sales presentations for resellers and end users.
• Closes sales negotiations and draws up preferred supplier contracts.
• Meets established sales quotas and revenue goals.
* Ensures that stock levels are sufficient to make target based on supply and demand.
• Ensures that stock levels adhere to the Company stock turn criteria.
• Controls stock ageing within the Companies criteria.
• Ensures that stock is at effective stock valuations.
• Effectively applies promotional stock adjustments to manage and promote deals.
• Proactively manages End of Life stock risks and stock item substitutions.
• Management of GP Margin and factors related therein.
• Completes scheduled sales reports for management.
• Develops and updates product promotional materials.
• Develops and maintains an accurate sales forecast.
• Records product supply orders and related information.
• Ensures internal systems are up to date with the latest products and pricing.
• Develops statistical reports as requested.
• Timeously completes and submits all related sales, claims and inventory information.
• Ensures that requests and problems are promptly tracked and resolved.
• Ensures that all requirements for Vendor rebates are fulfilled.
• Sales breadth and run rate business is preserved analysed and expanded.
• Coordinates delivery of products and services with logistics, operations and all other related personnel.
