Our Client is a leader in the training of lifting equipment and machinery based in Brackenfell, Cape Town. They have an exciting vacancy for a dynamic, qualified Facilitator/Assessor that has a minimum of 3 years’ facilitating and assessing experience.The ideal candidate must be passionate about training and education as well as be very goal orientated. Excellent people skills are essentials as wells as an exceptional administration skill set.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
1. PREPARATION FOR FACILITATION/ASSESSMENT • Daily telephonic contact with the office to ascertain the status of training bookings.• All Facilitators/Assessors are provided with a monthly allowance for this purpose• Confirm all details of training to be performed eg time, training venue, contact person, number of learners, type of training etc as described on the Instruction Document• Make all necessary transport, audio visual and other equipment and document preparations according to the issued Instruction Document• Collect and check all requested Documents from the Secretary• Arrange any Cash Advances with the General Manager where necessary for away trips• Confirm accommodation arrangements with Secretary for away trips

2. FACILITATION/ASSESSMENT • Perform the required Training Service within the bounds of the information provided on the Instruction Document• Ensure all required Documentation is properly completed• Training services to comply with the requirements of Company Facilitation/ Assessment Procedures and Standards, as per the Accreditation Authority• Direct any Operational Queries or Training Difficulties contrary to the Instruction Document information via the General Manager• Maintain a standard of Dress Code and Approach in keeping with the Company’s intended image, in all dealings with Customers and their representatives• Use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times during training.

3. SUBMISSION OF TRAINING DOCUMENTATION • Following training, all necessary Administrative documentation must be physically submitted to the Secretary for processing within 24 hours of completing training. This is imperative for timeous administrative processes, and for which Facilitators/Assessors receive a travel allowance as part of their daily fee• Should this not be possible due to distances or continuous training, alternative arrangements must be arranged with the General manager• Due care must be taken with original documents as the loss of originals will have an impact on the Quality Management System and ultimately the company’s accreditation status• Any unused Training Documentation must be returned to the Secretary for recording and storage• Feedback to the General Manager regarding any irregularities/discrepancies encountered in the Training• Liaise with the General Manager regarding reconciliation of Travel Allowances for away trips

QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS: 1. Experience and/or Certification in the field of Lifting Equipment operation.2. Experience and/or Certification in the field of ETD practice.3. Previous accreditation for training of Lifting Equipment operators.4. Preferably found competent in the ETD Unit Standard ASSMT 01 Plan and Conduct Assessment of Learning Outcomes.
