Fiber Optic Planner – Cape Town (Telecoms)

A global telecoms firm is urgently seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Planner. You will survey and plan OSP and ISP fibre routes and liaise with property owners for approvals for infrastructure placement and installation. Additionally, you will assist with Bill of Services and Bill of Materials.

Minimum requirements include but are not limited to the following:
• Matric essential
• Fibre optic specialist / design certificate
• Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications field
• At least 2 - 3 years’ experience in planning Fibre infrastructure
• Telecommunications sector experience (minimum 2 years)
• Extensive knowledge of fibre optic networks
• Extensive practical experience in fibre network planning
• Ability to plan complex and interrelated fibre networks
• Ability to work under pressure and within tight timelines
• Advanced MS Excel and Visio skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer driven
• AutoCAD skills are a must
