A leading financial services group’s Trust business seeks an experienced Fiduciary expert to promote the company’s Trust business within the KZN region. The incumbent will call on intermediaries, promoting the company’s Trust solutions, increasing volume in the region and supporting intermediaries technically, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve volume targets for wills from intermediaries in the KZN area.
• Achieve guardian, inter vivos trust and volume targets from intermediaries.
• Manage and support intermediaries to increase volumes.
• Identify and persuade inactive intermediaries in order to increase the support base.
• Advise intermediaries and clients in the KZN area effectively on wills, mortis causa, inter vivos and guardian trusts.
• Advise intermediaries in general on estate duty, CGT, income tax, fiduciary rights and tax planning in wills.
• Assist intermediaries to identify opportunities for risk business from wills and give will-planning advice.
• Support intermediaries in the reporting of estates, especially outside estates
• Training, presentations and seminars to groups, individual clients and intermediaries.

Key Requirements:

• A valid driver’s licence (Code 08)
• Legal and/or CFP qualification
• At least 5 years’ experience in an advice / sales / sales support capacity within a fiduciary services environment.
• Technical and practical understanding of wills and the legal implications pertaining thereto.
• Basic understanding of trust (mortis causa, guardian and inter vivos) administration processes and legal implications pertaining thereto.
• Good understanding of all relevant tax legislation e.g. estate duty, transfer duty, income tax, capital gains tax and donations tax.
• Good understanding of legal entities, fiduciary rights and succession laws.
