Kendrick Recruitment is now looking for a top Field Guide for a top 5* Lodge Situated in the Greater Kruger.As a Field Guide you are fully responsible for conducting guided safari experiences on a Big 5 Reserve that are unique, personalized, professional and enjoyable. You are accountable to the Head Ranger for the delivery of such experiences to the guests.Your main purpose as a field guide is to ensure that a once in a life time wildlife experience is offered to every guest with the focus on catering to the specific needs of each individual guest. We are looking for driven and passionate guides who are always looking to further improve their own knowledge of the bush. Game drive vehicles and related equipment are to be well-maintained and cared for at all times.Your key roles will include:1. Ensures the highest quality of game experience for the guests.2. Hosts guests in line with the high standards set.3. Communicating with Front of House staff to ensure the best possible experience for guests.4. Conscientious maintenance and care of vehicles and related equipment.5. Carries out administration duties timeously and effectively.6. Undertakes a process of continuous education of self and other members of staff.7. Achieves service excellence though Teamwork.To be considered we are looking for someone who has:• A minimum of 2 years work experience as a field guide in a similar lodge environment• A level 2 FGASA qualification or higher with theory and practical completed• Registered with DEAT and THETA in terms of improving his/her qualifications• Passed the Kruger National Park rifle assessment as well as the trails guide examination• Trails guide certificate• Valid first aid certificate• SASSETA Certificates• A valid South African Code 8 Driver’s license and PDP• Excellent communication and people handling skills• The ability to work on his/her own with enthusiasm• Confident but humble persona• Organized – with attention to detail and time• Professional and neat in personal appearance and imageIn return you will be offered a salary between R6,000 – R8,500 live in, this will include a contribution to Medical Aid and Provident Fund, meals and uniform will be provided.
