Field Service Instrumentation Technician – Alberton Area

• Print and bind appropriate documentation for projects and orders.
• Do calibration certificates and proper filling. (to be checked by Management)
• Visit clients and do basic calibrations. (with experience)
• Contact clients regarding the overdue calibrations to be done and request quotations for clients. The client’s overdue calibrations need to be
updated to provide proper support. (overlooked by management)
• Conduct reports on calibrations
• Write basic reports to clients on site visits conducted. (to be checked by management)
• Give information to staff members if basic quotations are requested by clients. (with experience) (Assisted and checked by management)
• Get technical quotations from suppliers.
• Testing and calibration of new stock for orders or projects.
• Repair client equipment, when sent in for repairs. (with experience)
• Assist stores with appropriate paperwork.
• Assist stores if stock needs to be unpacked and checked. (With experience, technicians can check equipment for orders)
• Assist with stock take to learn the products.
• Manage workshop.
• Document newest technical drawings and documents.
• Construct and wire control panels for projects and orders. (with experience)
• Study products and drawings to understand basic control circuits and procedures. Do basic assignments to gain experience.
• Technical support. (with experience)
• Assist with basic hook-up and electrical drawings. (with experience)
• Ensure that everything is ready when a site visit is to be conducted.
• Keep drawer with agent’s products up to date with newest brochures and manuals.
• Keep software for instruments up to date.

*Experienced technician to conduct activities where more experience is required.
*Experienced technician to have the following experience:
? Basic understanding of low voltage electrical control circuits.
? Basic understanding of measuring instruments such as a multi-meter.
? Good communication and literature skills.
? Experience in the electrical/electronic field (preferred).
? N6 in electrical engineering (preferred).
? Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
? Must have a valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
