RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN (MILLWRIGHT / ELECTRICIAN) for a well-established national concern – position based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area.

REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Computer literate (MS Office, Email / Internet). Must be competent on MS Excel and MS Word.
Trade tested Millwright or Electrician with strong mechanical experience. Electrical trade test preferable.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
English speaking (person must be able to speak, read and write English competently).
3 – 5 years manufacturing production experience (ideally blow moulding experience).
Strong hydraulic and pneumatic production maintenance experience.
Previous working experience in the packaging industry (or similar) a strong advantage.
Maintaining and servicing machinery.
Assisting in planning of maintenance activities with Production Manager.
Fault identification and fixing of route cause and ensuring the accurate completion of production logs and job cards.
Attending to breakdowns at customers and in the factory.
Identification and achievement of measurable technical and process developments and improvements.
Assisting Production Manager to establish the budget for mould expenses and equipment including the control of consumable costs.
Controlling spares usage and costs for external customer maintenance and factory maintenance.
Maintaining standards in accordance with ISO quality system.
Ensuring that the work in the section is performed in terms of agreed expectations and the company’s standards.
Ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures.
Ensuring proper housekeeping by maintaining a minimum score of 95% on the housekeeping checklist and 100% adherence to the dress code.
Assisting customers on site with Filler and related equipment installations, services, repairs and maintenance, as well as assisting with breakdowns at customers.
Would only suit a well-presented, well-spoken individual.
Person must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required.

Salary package offered: - To be discussed (day shift position with weekend work and standby – have use of company vehicle during the week for work and during callouts.
