My client, a security equipment supplier is seeking to employ a Field Support Technician (Telecoms and Access Control) to commence duties asap.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with clients on a daily basis
  • Provide and complete SLA maintenance
  • Completion of job cards / work order, signing off on call outs and report back on daily service calls
  • Managing installations, training, site visits and resolving issues on site

Technical skills required and to be developed:

  • Site maintenance – install and commission of equipment
  • Perform new installations
  • On-site technical support Access control equipment
  • Impro Access Control skills a definite adv
  • Good knowledge of IP CCTV setup, install and fault finding
  • Basic network knowledge
  • Support Access control and CCTV customers on site
  • Provide quality support service on site (client facing) and remotely

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of networking and equipment fundamentals (Ethernet, cabling standards, TCP/IP)
  • Fluent in both Afrikaans and English (Written and verbal)
  • Manage switches, biometric access control
  • Solid understanding of desktop operating systems
  • Experience supporting network equipment and operating systems
  • Self-motivated, precision worker that takes pride in work
  • Must have own reliable transportation – Not negotiable
  • Matric certificate
  • Valid drivers’ licence
