My Client; a leader in the Lubrication system technology & equipment industry, is looking for a Field Technician, who will be responsible for the complete internal sales process (Straight order, Installation order and Repairs/ Breakdown order) in Witbank
Key Performance Areas:
Operational Execution:
Responsible for the operational execution of:-
Installation of new Systems (Lube, Fast Fill and FSI)
- Ensuring all the correct parts are available to complete the task
- Cleaning spare parts to ease installation
- Installation of parts onto equipment
Commissioning of system
- Performing initial Start-ups
- Performing diagnostics and fault finding
- Actioning changes on parts that need to be made
- Touch up external paint if damaged during installation
- Completing the work against the job instruction, inclusive of quality
- inspections
- Obtain approval from relevant parties
Existing equipment
- Perform diagnostics and fault finding
- Inspecting the equipment and checking the condition of all the parts
- Determining which parts need to be replaced
- Listing all the new parts that are required and other requirements
- Collecting and checking parts from the Stores
Quality Checks and Inspections
- Checking equipment according to Quality Control parameters
- Inspecting the quality of equipment that has been built by Workshop Staff
Preventative Maintenance
- Evaluating old systems to determine problem areas
- Communicating findings
Administration:
Responsible for the execution of:-
- Completing Service and weekly Time Sheets in accordance with Lincoln protocol
- Completing vehicle stock and quality documentation in accordance with Lincoln protocol
- Ensuring that all parts received by the Stores are signed for and that returns are received and signed for by the Stores
- Completing Vehicle pre-start inspection forms
Communication:
You are responsible for the execution of:-
- Interacting with Services Manager or Branch Manager regarding job instructions from clients
- Liaison with clients regarding job instructions
- Educating/On-the-job learning
- Demonstrating to students/new staff members the mechanics of material handling; component identification; electrical and hand tools etc.
- Conducting practical sessions with students/new staff members
- Attending and participating in meetings
Health and Safety:-

- Use and take proper care of protective clothing, and other health and safety facilities and equipment provided for the protection, health or safety of employees;

- Actively participate in the support of the Company’s Quality Management Systems to support internal quality controls and to secure sustainable business.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:-
- Minimum of grade 12 required
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:-
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in related field
- Trade certificate/diploma in related field would be advantageous
