FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR fixed term contract position available with Retail Brand company based in Cape Town. Working under the directive of the Senior Accountant, this position is responsible for ensuring that all cash books and draw cards are managed effectively and up to date.
Key Performance Areas to include:
Cash Book
• Download bank statements, allocating of payments and receipts
• Capturing receipts into weekly banking variance report
• Liaise with stores re banking and disbursement queries
• Ensuring that sales are banked timeously
• Processing of store cash disbursements
• Processing of credit card commission
• Weekly import of cashbook into Pastel and completing the reconciliation
Petty Cash
• Reviewing Petty Cash Recon
Administration
• Check and file cash-ups and disbursements for and following up with stores that have not sent their monthly cash-ups and cash disbursements
• Filing of all documentation i.e. invoices, payments, leases etc.
• Archiving and managing the archiving process
• Completion and sending off of credit card applications
• Preparation of Sales journals for month-end
• Balance Sheet recons - all companies
Education and Experience required:
• Grade 12
• Experience in Pastel
• Finance qualification
Experience and skills required:
• 2-3 years’ experience as Cashbook/Finance Administrator
• Interpersonal skills that allows development of strong relationships with co-workers
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Problem solving
• Good team player
• Ability to multi- task
• Customer Care
Salary: R11,000 CTC a month (Standard deductions apply; PAYE, UIF, Medical Aid & Pension)
Start date: 22 August (Fixed term contract until end January 2018)
