Our client is an established multinational player in professional cleaning applications and a brand leader in industrial cleaners. Due to a recent merger, the need for a qualified Financial Manager with a strong interest in operations and experience reporting to an international head office has emerged.
Reporting operationally to the General Manager South Africa and functionally to the Regional Finance Director, you will take full responsibility for the daily management of the Finance, Customer Service, Logistics/Warehouse, Service, and IT Services departments; extending to people, processes and systems in South Africa.

Within each of these departments you will ensure that each branch is adequately managed, staffed and resourced. Some additional key responsibilities within specific departments will include:

Finance Department
• Develop and implement a local finance strategy on how to support the business and group requirements
• Implement and optimize departmental processes and documentation on an ongoing basis
• Drive the annual Planning and quarterly Forecasting processes
• Ensure financial accounting in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS (Group GAAP).
• Implement routines to monitor the development in working capital, and processes to follow up and maintain the working capital investment
• Oversee the investment activities
• Supervise cash management and securing adequate funding where necessary

Customer Service
• Implement systems to track and monitor customer and quality issues. Regularly analyze data to spot trends and initiate remedial action based on the analyses

Logistics / Warehouse
• Implement processes to monitor stock levels and reordering routines. Analyze SKU activity (turns etc.) and recommend remedial action, and in the worst case: clearances and write offs. Ensure stock count in accordance with Group Guidelines.

Service organization
• Ensure that Service Tech.’s operate efficient task and route planning. Monitor and optimize van stocks and invoicing routines

IT Services
• Ensure that the ERP system is set up to reflect the local business environment and that data security complies with Group Guidelines. That the system is user-friendly, has a high up-time and supports both data capture and analysis in a reliable way.

The Candidate

Education: B COM Finance degree with a post grad an advantage

Language:
• Strong English at negotiation level both written and oral

Ideal experience:

• 4-5 years of experience within a similar position in a multinational company
• Practical experience with accounting and financial controlling
• Experience with integrated IT applications and HYPERION
• Management experience across various levels of employees
• Experience with financial optimization of sales, service and logistics/warehouse.
• Experience with optimization of working capital
