My client within the Media and Broadcasting space appoint an experienced Employment Equity candidate in the role of Finance Business Partner This successful candidate will take up responsibility for the full range of Financial Administration, Analysis and Control. Must have extremely strong business acumen. The position reports to the Finance Manager

Key Performance Areas:
Products, services, programmes and information which the individual must provide to external individuals or groups, or one another to accomplish the organisation’s mission and strategy regarding local channels and content:

Budgets and Forecasts
Assist in the co-ordination, preparation, review, variance reporting, justification and presentation of local content / channels budgets and forecasts

Month-end
Assist in the co-ordination, preparation, review, variance reporting, justification and presentation of local content / channels monthly reporting

This will include (but is not limited to):
• Synergy month-end for local content
• Processing monthly journals into SAP
• Review of month-end procedures and reports
• Review of reconciliations between SAP and Synergy
• Review of the Synergy payments clearing account
• Review of inventory reconciliations (balance sheet)
• Review of Nigerian supplier payment reconciliations (production and operational costs)
• Monthly calculation of the transfer pricing model

Contract Management
Review of accuracy, validity and completeness of payments on local content with reference to the signed contracts, supplier invoices and Synergy liabilities
Review calculation and processing of withholding tax where applicable

Monthly Operations
Assist and provide input to Synergy database enhancements and developments
Management of inventory and Cost Of Providing Services (COPS)
Reviewing of business’s compliance to Standard Operation Procedures
Cash flow management and forecasting

Other
Providing information and assistance to internal and external auditors

Staff
Performance management of local content team
Support local content team up to 9 people
Complete assessments of local content team
Identification of staff development needs and communicate the required training to Human Resources

Requirements:
Must be a CA (SA) - non-negotiable
3 year’s post articles operational experience
People Management experience
Sound knowledge of IFRS
Strong finance and administration skills are essential
