Financial Analysis experience and an overall strong analytical mind-set
The ability to interpret financial information and translate that into useable business information
Strong sense of strategy and pre-empting what other business partners will need in order to advise on strategy

Job Description:
The purpose of this function will be to provide a forward-looking view of the finance, to provide support to operations from a financial point of view. To assist with translating strategy into KPI’s and financial targets and to create change through liaising with various departments and providing financial and business insight. As you can see, this is not a typical financial number crunching role, although you would need a strong financial background.
This position will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Review of monthly financial results
Preparing monthly variance analysis of the financial results
Managing costs through understanding of cost drivers
Assisting with the preparation of forecasts and budgets and assisting the year-end process
Preparation of finance reports
Presenting to board
Improving efficiencies with financial reporting on business performance
Providing analysis and insight to drive decision-making and business strategies
Ensuring that key operational, commercial and financial targets are met through effective commercial procedures
Track performance against KPIs
Attending senior management meetings to discuss business performance and building relationships and partnerships with senior management.
Taking a key personal interest in this business and its optimal performance
Driving excellence and setting and expecting high standards at all time
