Finance Controller

Agricultural Industry (Citrus Fruit Farming)
Salary: R45 000 – R50 000 p.m. Negotiable

A National Citrus Fruit Farming Company is looking for a dynamic, energetic Finance Controller for their business unit in Burgersfort MPUMALAGA. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ambition to grow with this organisation. Min of 3 years’ experience essential. Knowledge of the Fruit growing industry will be a huge advantage. Relocation is option that can be discussed.

Responsibilities

·Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports

·Support the annual business plan/budgeting process

·Follow up on Internal and External audits

·Continually improve process and ensuring good financial controls are maintained at all times

·Develop and maintain a good knowledge of the operations of the business and the activities of other departments within the business for efficient and effective financial and cost management

·Ensure all local legal requirements are fulfilled – board members, board meetings, etc.

·Ensure integrity of financial information by implementing and monitoring appropriate controls

·Develop currency exposure reports.

·Manage and run Balance Sheet reviews (ICFR Reviews)

·Initiate new Management Reports for business

·Ensure adequate inventory controls are in place

·Assisting CFO with matters related to tax

·Actively taking ownership to maintain and/or improve the quality of the figures in Business Objects (BO). Explain discrepancies between SAP and BO

·Manage external reporting to Statistics South Africa

·Support CFO in Cash Flow Management of business

·Maintain the fixed assets register


Profile

? ·Minimum: Degree in Finance is essential.

? ·Minimum 5 years working experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably with experiences in Agri Industry.

? ·Strong accounting and financial knowledge

? ·Ability to build and maintain good relationships with both internal and external parties

? ·Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and Hyperion Reporting systems is preferred

? ·Strong analytical skills with attention to details

? ·Ability to work independently as well as within a team

? ·Prior experience in an international operation or multinational is an advantage

? ·Fluency in English, and ability to communicate on all levels in the organization
