A great feel-good 12 month contract position exists for a Finance Manager to work for an NGO. This charity provides educational training and scholarships to children in financial need. The initial main focus will be setting budgets for all business entities.

Qualification:
CA (SA) recently qualified or
BCom Accounting

Skills & Experience:
Hospitality, FMCG or services industry
Strong people management skills, able to get buy in from people who have been working for the company a long time and are afraid of change.
A knack for streamlining processes and systems

Job Description:
A Contract position to implement internal controls across the business and manage financial Operations and part of the management team with 2 direct reports.
Main focus is stock system implementation and control, annual budgets, restaurant menu costing and monthly management reports including margin variance and profitability analysis
Responsible for all statutory NPO reporting for the Trust
Preparation of audit information and liaison with external auditors
Investigated and facilitated welfare status application together with voluntary VAT registration for the Trust allowing access to the related tax benefits

The successful incumbent will need to be passionate about helping children.
