Position of Financial Manager / Controller exists within a young and dynamic investment and holdings company based in Cape Town. This position will be responsible for all aspects of financial control, accounting, tax and and financial management support for the group.

MAIN DUTIES:

• Managing financial performance of group
• Financial analysis
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Development and implementing financial improvement strategies
• Ensure financial and legal compliance process improvements
• Hiring, development and management of financial staff
• Asset management,
• Financial reconciliation
• Reporting and analysis
• Cost control
• Management of profit and loss statements
• Cash and working capital management,
• Financial reporting and evaluation
• All reconciliations
• Financial review of contracts,
• Tax, VAT, Government & external auditors

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant qualification in finance, no lower than a degree level with CA credentials being highly beneficial
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience with at least 4 years having been at Controller or Management level
• Experience of international accounting practices would be very beneficial
• Previous experience with company tax and VAT is essential
