Job Description:
The purpose of the role will be to assist in the planning and directing of the accounting activities within the Finance department by performing the following duties: Assist with developing and implementing policies, procedures and goals with regards to financial management, budgets and accounting; preparation of financial statements and reports; install and maintain accounting records to show receipts and expenditures; direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property and operating expenses and insurance records; direct and participate in cost analyses and rate studies; cost estimation; direct internal audits and review internal controls; coordinate the preparation of external audit materials; review financial statements; BEE tracking and auditing, AA/EE appointments and further ad-hoc projects and tasks.
