An established macro hedge fund is currently looking for qualified CA(SA) who has experience in financial services/audit industry experience to step in to a Finance Manager position in Johannesburg. This job is not your traditional finance role. Working closely with the CFO you will take autonomy of finance in what will be a broad remit where you will be covering everything across corporate & fund accounting, compliance, analysis production for investment teams and senior stakeholders.

The Finance Manager in Johannesburg will be involved in strategic decisions that will shape the future direction of the business so therefore a confident a clear communicator will be essential. This is an exciting job opportunity for somebody looking for a platform within the hedge fund world and aspirations to be a CFO in the medium term.

The ideal Finance Manager for this job will be a qualified CA(SA) with experience of auditing funds or perhaps a qualified CA(SA) with 1-3 years’ industry experience of working within the fund space in a finance role. Other qualifications and profiles with relevant working experience will also be considered. To stand out you will be somebody with an eye for detail, asks intelligent questions, picks things up quickly, ability to understand how funds operate, and have a desire to continually improve the way in which you work.
