A well established Water Utilities Company based in Free State (Bothaville) is looking for a Finance Manager.

Minimum requirements: • An Honours in Accounting or equivalent qualification • Completed articles • A CA(SA) qualification would be an added advantage • 4 years’ relevant experience predominantly at Senior Management level • A Code EB driver’s licence • The ability to communicate at all levels • Deadline-driven • The ability to analyse and solve problems • Good presentation and report-writing skills • The ability to interpret and implement policies.
Major responsibilities: • Make inputs to the finance and organisational strategies • Implement the Finance Strategy, Business plan, operational policies, processes and procedures • Facilitate and ensure the accuracy of the budget for the organisation • Ensure that risk management is embedded in the day-to-day business processes of the organisation
• Implement financial controls to ensure a good control environment throughout the organisation • Ensure compliance to the relevant legislation governing the finances of a public entity • Ensure timeous reporting to all stakeholders • Interact with auditors and ensure provision of appropriate and timely responses to audit queries • Implement effective risk management strategies within the department • Attend coordinating meetings • Train and supervise staff • Ensure a high performance culture exists within the Finance Department.
