Finance Manager

A successful booming Consumer Conglomerate seeks a skilled, dynamic and commercially astute strategic Financial Manager to join their team.

Must be able to start immediately

As a key member of the Finance Team, the successful candidate will report directly to the CFO and MD.

You will need to meet the following requirements:
• Possess a degree in accounting or finance, and be CA(SA)/ CIMA /ACCA qualified.
• 5+ years finance / financial management experience, with at least 3 years relevant experience in financial lead roles
• Manufacturing / Consumer Goods industry experience is crucial
• Demonstrated the ability to set performance metrics and manage the accounting and treasury functions
• Have the business acumen, leadership skills and fortitude sufficient to be an effective strategic partner to the CFO and MD
• Possess strong leadership capabilities complemented by a collaborative approach to business management


You will be responsible for (among other duties):
• Allocating all payments onto accounts
• Maintaining Journals and the reconciliation of accounts
• Resolving all account queries
• Executing Credit Control up to handover
• Following up on unpaid invoices and provide necessary documentation to clients
• Releasing sales orders according to credit vetting rules
• Compiling debtor correspondence in accordance with legislation and standard procedures (Letters of payment, etc.)
• Allocating cash payments to accounts
• Allocating credit notes to queries/Invoices
• Passing discounts on Trade Partner accounts
• Processing letters to clients on rejected queries
• Issuing and file statements and documents
• Maintaining Master File detail per Debtor (Debtor Profile)
• Releasing orders on hold within the credit facilities granted
• Administering credit sales transactions
• Compiling reconciliation statements
• Participating in Audits
• Reporting and forecasting
