A crème de la crème opportunity exists for a seasoned Finance Manager who has experience working in the exciting, yet challenging hospitality industry. Overseeing the day-to-day operation of all financial functions, reporting and employees.



Qualification:

BCom Finance



Skills & Experience:

3 – 5 years’ experience working in hospitality (this is essential)

At least 2 years as a Finance Manager or Senior Financial Accountant

Responsible for a minimum of managing the finances for 3 different entities



Job Description:

Financial – Accounting

Oversee employees that perform the day-to-day accounting functions, such as Debtors, Creditors, Cash Book Processing, Bank Payments, etc.

Oversee month end reporting.

Compile and publish month end reporting.

Compile and present for approval annual budgets.

Periodically compile and present cash flows.

Periodically compile and present forecasts.

Periodically review financial reports with the aim of streamlining and improving financial performance.

Perform regular income statement reviews.

Perform regular balance sheet reviews.

Ensure statutory compliance in terms of VAT / PAYE / UIF payments.

To prepare all ad hoc financial reports as and when required.

Financial – Insurance

Ensure that all businesses are adequately covered by relevant insurance policies.

Ensure that all businesses are compliant with all terms stipulated in the relevant insurance policies.

Oversee the annual renewal of insurance policies and to ensure that all policies are renewed on the best possible financial terms.

Commercial – SLA’s & Sponsorships

Review and maintain SLA’s with sponsors and beverage partners.

Actively engage with external companies and third parties with the aim of negotiating sponsorships for music events.

Actively engage with external companies and third parties, such as beverage companies to negotiate annual SLA’s.

Ensure that these deals are structured as profitably as possible on behalf of the company.

Assist the Legal department with the drafting of commercial terms for all SLA’s and sponsorships.

Ensure that the businesses remain within the contractual confines of all such agreements.

Commercial – Music Events

Actively engage with music promoter and other external parties to discuss and negotiate terms for future music events.

Draft P&L’s for these events so as to ensure commercial and financial viability.

Negotiate terms with music promoters and other external parties and to present for approval to the boards of the various companies.

Commercial – Landlords

Understanding the current leases that are in place.

Ensure compliance with all lease terms.

Regularly interact with the various Landlords.

Commercial – Deal Structuring

Conduct any and all due diligence processes on behalf of the company in terms of new potential deals.

Prepare any reporting that may be required to explore new business deals.

Actively participate in negotiations for any potential deals.

Continuously refine and prepare financial models for any potential new deals, these reports may include (but are not limited to) cash flow forecasting / financial gearing and structuring / profitability and stress tests, etc.

Legal – Contracts

Actively review and understand all contracts that any of the businesses enter into.

Assist the legal department with preparing, reviewing and approving of all legal contracts that the businesses may enter into from time to time.
