FINANCE MANAGER - FORESTRY PLANTATION - SIERRA LEONE

Candidates must be prepared to reside on-site in a remote Forestry Plantation environment in Sierra Leone, a fair distance from Freetown. Accommodation provided, medical allowance & insurance plus 3 flights home per year, 10 days leave per trip.

Qualified Accountant BComm or similar pref, CA ideal but not essential, with minimum 5+years similar financial management experience, including a sound knowledge of setting up controls in a dynamic, growing business. Promotional opportunities a definite advantage for a motivated, energetic, career driven manager and leader.

• Responsible for the Company’s finance and accounting function, including Payroll (600 employees), HR and related Admin
• Review and evaluate of cost reduction opportunities
• Manage and control submissions for capital and operational expenditure, Manage Procurement, imports.
• Overall control of all financial transactions and accounting matters, including the Companies internal control system
• Manage the Annual Company Audit by external auditors and support the CFO in the preparation of statutory accounts/ Annual Budget/Management Account
• Responsible for ensuring insurance is up to date and manage insurance renewal timetable
• Lead and build a cohesive, motivated and effective team.

USD remuneration, ranging from USD 3 500 - 5 000 gross p.m. will be based on level of experience, skills and suitability.
