Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and managing 5 direct reports, the successful incumbent will have demonstrable experience of a minimum of 3 years’ financial management experience. Responsible for communicating financial results to management on a monthly basis to enable the appraisal of the company’s actual performance against targets. The FM is also responsible for the development, implementation and modification for financial policies and practices.



Qualification:

CA(SA) NON-NEGOTIABLE



Skills & Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years’ commercial experience

Essential experience managing a small finance team

Auditing background advantageous

Cash management experience

Knowledge of MFMA (Municipal Finance Management Act) and PFMA (Public Finance Management Act)

Corporate culture

Board preparation and documentation

Exposure to Risk Management frameworks



Job Description:

Revenue management.

Preparing annual reports and financial statements.

Consolidated annual budgets for presentation.

Maintaining and improving financial reporting processes.

Fixed asset and inventory management.

Preparation of operating and capital expenditure budgets.

Compiling and submitting standard and ad hoc internal management reports.

Reporting and advising on financial matters to executive management.

Compiling and submitting quarterly and annual Audit Committee and Board reports.

Interacting with external auditors to facilitate the finalization of annual financial statements.
