Finance operations specialist

International manufacturing concern with offices based in Durban are seeking to employ a Finance operations specialist

The ideal applicant will meet the following requirements :
Must be a qualified chartered accountant
Must have strong financial experience – 3 – 5 years
Strong experience with monthly , quarterly and annual financial reporting
Preferably available immediately applicants
SAP will be an advantage

Key responsibilities:
Consolidation of Divisional income statements actual vs budget & actual vs actual
Run variance analysis for business
Preparation of required variance analyses in the format that is required by senior management
Checking for completeness and accuracy of data submitted in divisional packs
Preparation and coordination of timing schedules for month-end reporting and establishment of meetings with Senior Management
Reply to queries and perform additional analysis for company & Management
Ensure all SOX requirements are fulfilled
Prepare AIS applications timeously & accurately for any new qualifying project
Assist other departments with the preparation of the AIS claim for the approved projects
Preparation of board packs, statistics and presentations
Performance of ad hoc studies
