Salary: R650k per annum CTC (+benefits)

Purpose of the Role:
Assist to identify opportunities, develop and implement pro-active tax compliance initiatives and assist with the efficient conclusion of SARS queries and audits.

Requirements:
Relevant BCom Degree
4 Years relevant experience

Duties:
Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, Quality And Community:
• Identify and assess level of issue based risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc. • Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
• Ensure SHEQ compliance within the Process through effective use of the Toolbox
• Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to analyse, identify trends, initiate, mitigate, investigate and report SHEQ status
Customers:
• Liaise and coordinate with business units to understand and manage Tax compliance and provide Tax support.
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction
Business Processes:
Tax Accounting:
• Review tax accounting for the Client’s group companies
• Review of book and cash Tax for budget preparations (3 year forecast)
• Assist with review of review deferred and current taxes and ensure an effective tax rate optimisation
• Review book and cash tax for interim and year end audits
• Assist with conducting on site interim and year-end accrual tax reviews
Tax Compliance:
• Assist with the preparation and compliance for the Client’s Group Companies’
Taxes:
Income Tax returns and general compliance
Provisional Tax payments o VAT and diesel returns and compliance
PAYE compliance
Dividends tax returns and compliance
Other indirect Taxes (e.g. SDL, UIF, STT)
Tax Audits and Queries:
• Assist with external audit information and queries
• Assist with SARS queries and the preparation of responses
• Assist with the preparation of objections with SARS in respect of incorrect assessments
• Collation of tax information to supply to relevant stakeholders to facilitate financial and management reporting and planning

Tax Developments:
• Assist with the review of existing and proposed tax legislation in order to determine the tax implications
• Assist with the review accounting changes (release of new accounting standards) in order to determine the tax implications
