FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (CA)

Leading investment company is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team that produces and analyses critical management information for the Group as well as statutory accounting functions. Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

Role & Responsibilities:

Maintaining monthly financial records, as well as preparation of management accounts.
Compilation of Annual Financial Statements and quarterly board packs
Liaising with auditors for completion of the above-mentioned financial statements as well as the Financial Statements of:
• Unit Trusts
• Hedge Funds
Tax and regulatory submissions
Compile data for BEE compliance

Requirements:

Audit experience in Financial Services
Good understanding of long-term life assurance company accounting
Understanding of company valuation methodologies
CA(SA) with 2 to 3 years post qualifications experience (preferably within the life insurance industry)
Competencies and ideal personality attributes:
Self-starter and goal driven
Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail
Team player. Provides support and back-up when required
