Financial Accountant MLR - Franschhoek

Job Description:

Reporting to the Office Manager
Responsible for complete record keeping and financial reporting on all businesses in the group
Responsible for producing monthly management accounts and year end final trial balances
Handle any other financial related queries from management
Setting up budgets per company
Cashbook processing
Balance, reconcile and journal all loan accounts transactions for all companies
Processing and reconciliation of bank statements
Payroll journals and wages allocations between companies and departments
Ensure salary and wage reports balance and reconcile
Month end related journals such as revenue, depreciation, stock, and petty cash audit journals (year-end)
VAT calculation and submission for all companies that are VAT registered
EMP submissions for all companies that require it.
EMP501 payroll reconciliations.
Any other SARS related queries and dealings
Review of petty cash, cashbook and other ledger accounts for authorised transactions and reconciliation
Audit preparation, queries and assistance


At least 5 years practical bookkeeping experience (experience in farming industry beneficial)
Bookkeeping diploma / qualification
Microsoft Office and Pastel Proficient (Excel specifically)
Attention to detail
