Financial Accountant (Shared Services)

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the financial accounts for various client companies and ensuring the financial integrity of their statutory accounts.
Duties include:
• Preparation of clients’ financial accounts and the monitoring of accounting and reporting for these various clients
• Production of clients’ statutory accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, P & L
• Ensure allocated statutory accounts are prepared and reviewed
• Monthly profit and loss, budget control, reconciliations
• Prepares monthly statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarising data, information, and trends
• Preparation of clients’ statutory accounts audit pack
• Responds to financial enquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarising, and interpreting data
• Provides financial advice by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and practices; developing recommendations
• Assist the Financial Controller as required.

Requirements of the role
You should be a B. Com/B.Acct/B.Compt and have a minimum of 3 – 5 years experience.
You must have working knowledge of monthly reconciliations across a large variety of clients whilst analysing and identifying opportunities for development within existing control procedures
High awareness of current technical accounting and reporting requirements of GAAP
Computer literate with SAGE (preferable) or Accpac, SAP or Pastel Evolution
Skills: Deadline-orientated, attention to detail, hard-working as overtime may be required, managing profitability, accounting, audit, financial skills, analyzing information, reporting results, statistical analysis, and business knowledge. Applicant must be able to adapt to a wide range of clients across various industries.
