Qualification:
BCom (Financial Accounting) + Articles

Skills & Experience:
3 years’ experience in an Accounting Department
Interpersonal communication skills
Financial knowledge – budget setting, financial reporting, cost control and cash flow
Have sound business acumen in the areas of financial, commercial and business administration
Report writing ability
Be able to motivate and communicate effectively with logical areas

Job Description:
Ensure that accounting function is efficiently managed
Maintain and control budget requirements and improve where possible
Control fixed assets register and annually depreciated assets according to the fixed percentage method and creating entries for monthly depreciation adjustments
Review, analyse and query the monthly stock count result of the JHB location and create the required adjustment
Monthly trade incentives commission calculation for provisions and payment
Compilation of the monthly SASAR documentation for submission and provision
Compilation of the SASAR documentation for agreed upon procedures by Auditors
Creation of monthly or adjusting journals in AccPac
Monthly reconciliation and inspection of monthly management account file
Generate monthly additional management document for submission to Financial Manager
Assistance with the daily cash book entries on AccPac
Assistance with wages and general payments on request
Liaison with auditing firm at year end
Implement medium and short term plans to ensure the Company’s goals and objectives are met
Contribute towards Managing Directors report by reporting on finance and financial legislative changes
Develop a reporting system that will facilitate good information flow to all levels of the operation, and develop an understanding of key performance parameters
