Financial Operations | Monthly Accounting | Reporting | Statutory Compliance | Cashflow Management

Description

Responsible for financial operational delivery of group companies. Ensures monthly accounting function and reporting are completed accurately on time, statutory compliance of all group entities at all levels and cashflow management.

Monthly Accounting Function

Processing all monthly journals, including recurring journals
Prepare final trial balance, Income Statement and Balance Sheet including Balance Sheet Reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines
Follow up on all unknown entries, initiate action to resolve matters identified during review and escalate when necessary
Check accuracy of information and ensure QV reporting agrees to Dynamics
Do weekly reporting to Partners and Executives
Ensure weekly reporting to Partners and Executives is accurate and completed on time
Ensure monthly reporting of numbers for Group companies are accurate and produced on time
Assist in the annual budget preparation for the relevant entities
Prepare budgets in conjunction with Financial Manager, Financial Controller, CFO and partners
Perform ad-hoc accounting functions when required
Ensure completeness and accuracy of audit files on time
Liaise with auditors on financial year end audit and/or internal audit programmes
Keep abreast and up to date with developments in the accounting field

Statutory compliance

Ensure all returns are completed accurately and submitted timeously to the relevant institutions – VAT, PAYE, IT, BBBEE, WCA
Ensure TCCs for all companies are valid and up to date
Ensure BBBEE certificates for all companies are valid and up to date
Follow up with relevant institutions should any problems exist, ensuring that necessary action is taken to resolve it
Liaise with auditors on above matters on a regular basis

Cashflow management

Prepare monthly historical and projected cashflows for all entities
Update cashflows on a weekly basis ensuring relevance and accuracy
Attend to any queries on cashflows
Release payments within mandate

Requirements

Completed Bachelor's Financial Degree (minimum Accounts 3)
Completed articles
2-3 years commercial experience
Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
Experience using MS Dynamics and Qlikview
