A reputable company is urgently seeking a Financial Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for :

Management

Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Manage outsourced functions
Oversee the operations and ensure that the department's goals and objectives are achieved.
Assist in year-end closing and audits.
Manage personnel

Funds Management
Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company's borrowings
Maintain banking relationships

Budgeting
Manage the preparation of the company's budget
Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
Preparing budget and any adjustments, monitoring spending and assisting in accurate and timely reimbursements

Financial Analysis
Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities
Prepare and enter journal entries which include correcting entries, allocating expenditures, grant related entries, etc.

Reporting
Prepare on monthly interim financial statements, and all Financial Report.
Research financial information for audit purposes and financial reporting
Analyze financial records and reports and make adjustments as needed
Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management

Requirements
Relevant Accounting Diploma / Degree
+8 year working experience
Drivers licence
Available immediately
