Job Details:

Real Time Accounting implements and manages cloud-based Xero accounting software and business intelligence solutions. They are looking for a methodical, action-oriented, and optimistic accountant to manage the accounting portfolio as well as perform cloud-based, outsourced accounting functions. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with standards, procedures and internal controls in line with group directives and legislation, while keeping to the relevant timelines applicable to the finance function.


Key Objectives:

• Supervise the bookkeeping function, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Completion of outsourced accounting and bookkeeping functions for client portfolio
• Plan and manage all client deliverables i.e. all inter-functional activities
• Manage client relationships and compliance
• Preparation and submission of tax returns, payroll, EMP201, vat recons and returns
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements
• Utilisation of CRM and Workflow manager to document required activities
• Pro-active training and completion of required CPD


Requirements:

• B. Comm (Acc) or related Degree
• Completed SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA articles (final year will also be considered)
• Xero cloud-based accounting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of PAYE, VAT, SARS, E-filing
• Financial and Business interest and acumen
• Team and Client Management experience

The following will be advantageous:

• Professional Accountant (SA)
• Post Article working experience
