REPORTS TO: Head of Finance
JOB GRADE: C_Upper


JOB OBJECTIVE
Includes planning, budgets and forecasts, interpreting financial results, monitoring cash flow. Ensure inventory levels are aligned to the Marketing promotional/campaign plan, provide an accurate forecast and demand plan which meets company sales, GP and growth rates
Responsible for collecting, organising, analysing and reporting financial and management information in a department or division. Responsibilities include the preparation of financial accounts, establishing accounting policies/procedures, maintenance of asset register and financial records.

TASK DESCRIPTION
General Ledger - Financial Reporting
• Processing and review of monthly journals
• Preparation and review of monthly GL recons
• Maintaining Fixed Asset register
• Preparation and review of monthly debtors reconciliation
• Reallocation of Centres and depots money paid into the main account to the different center/depot GL account
• Assist with depots and Centre queries.
• Monthly reconciliation of pre-determined key GL accounts
• Monthly preparations of financial analysis of variances
• Daily sales report
• Monthly Trial Balance, Income statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
• Monthly Intercompany schedules
• Monthly TAX Pack Submission
• Monthly IFRS Packs
• Prepare monthly Vena and IFRS packs
Legislative compliance and completion of documents and calculations:
• Monthly preparation of EMP201 returns and payments
• Monthly preparation of VAT201 returns and payments
• Provisional tax calculations and payment, Bi-annual, Annual
• Liaise with auditors and assisting with mid and year end audits.
• Calculation of Namibia vat and liaising with Namibia auditors for the submission of vat

Perform ad-hoc exercises, expense controls, capex
• Provide financial guidance and assistance to management and to participate in the decision-making process to ensure a cost effective and profitable outcome
• To investigate new investments and ideas and the impact thereof on the operational plan
• To calculate the ROI and present the different options to the board of management
• Present proposals and do what if scenarios to the board of management
• Ensure an effective approval purchasing and budgetary control process are in place to assist with effective budget management
• Effective management of accounts payable, receivable and inventory to achieve working capital targets
• Ensure fixed asset process are adhered to w.r.t approval, CER, and physical identification
• Ensure all internal controls are effective and adhered to
Treasury management and controls:
• Responsible for daily opening/closing procedures.
• Responsible for clearing and ordering of LC’s and forex according to set guidelines.
• Controls the efficient movement of money according to strict policy guidelines.
• Responsible for strict control over compliance, risk and security factors.
Nigeria monthly reporting:
• Preparation of Income statements, Balance sheets, Recons and IFRS Packs
• Monthly preparation of debtors reconciliation
• Preparation of IFRS and AFS packs for audit fulfillment of timetable and deadlines
• Preparation of Nigeria monthly statement and invoicing
• Processing of Nigeria credit notes

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• B.Com or Diploma in accounting/CIMA
• 1 – 3 years Financial/ Management and Cost accounting experience
• Computer literacy – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sage Evolution and Cognos, IFRIS Packs

Other Duties
• Be consistent and fair in implementing standards, principles and practises
• Participate in key projects, business modelling and new business development
