Financial Accountant

To be responsible for the maintenance of internal controls as well as supervising finance staff. To ensure that monthly accounts are accurately and timeously produced

Responsibilities and Duties
Prepare for month end plan and timetable.
Review all journals and prepare certain general journals
Account for general ledger integration from various modules.
Review individual creditors and cash book reconciliations.
Update the fixed asset register monthly.
Ensure that physical verification is undertaken annually
Prepare the annual Capex budget and control actual expenditure vs budget
Plan and coordinate year-end timetables and prepare a year-end pack and schedule
Ensure all reconciliations are produced and reviewed for the auditors.
Payment of monthly VAT returns.
Review the monthly foreign exchange declaration and forecast.
Provide mentoring and coaching for the financial staff.

Requirements
Matric (Preferably with Maths and Accounting).
Accounting Degree or equivalent
CIMA would be an advantage
Must have experience with Fixed asset register and fixed costs.
3 years as a Financial Accountant.
