Previous skills qualifications and experience:
? Bachelors in Financial / Accounting / Computer Science or similar education
? At least four years’ experience in financial management and reporting.
? Proficient with entire Microsoft Office suite, i.e. Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
? Working knowledge of financial analysis in relation to operational systems.
? Proficiency in SQL, VBA, Jasper software, Ireports a plus.
? Ability to proactively communicate detailed status to client and operational team.
? Strong organisation skills.
? Ability to work both within a team and independently.
? Ability to make sound decisions based on customer needs and technical knowledge.
? Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to deliver high-quality solutions.
? Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Must be a result oriented individual with a high level of integrity.

Scope of responsibility:
? Reporting to the general manager - operations
? Design and develop automated financial and analytical reports.
? Guide operational processes by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; by documenting, explaining process techniques and recommending actions.
? Recommends actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
? Improves financial data reports by analysing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
? Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
? Increase productivity by developing automated operational and accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.
? Report examples include:
? Track and review premium due and received versus receipts loaded on the operational system.
? Develop, automate and maintain premium bordereaux and outstanding premiums.
? Create financial reports for premium, claim utilisation, third party expenses.
? Create and maintain operational business reports / ad-hoc statistical investigations.
