A well- established FMCG Retail and Fresh Food Services Industry Company based in the East Rand is seeking a Financial Controller to manage accounts, stock control and costing on the farm:

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Accounting Degree / CIMA Qualified (Level 1-3).
• 3 years relevant experience in a general account and cost accounting role
• Candidate must have experience and knowledge of Global Gap.
• Knowledge of Bill of materials (BOM).
• Advance level in Excel.
• Candidate must come from the Farming Agriculture Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for weekly reporting on the following matters:
• Plants planted per variety vs planting program
• Kg sold vs growing program
• Weekly results (rand figures) vs budget
• Qualitative performance indicators
• Responsible for Diesel liters used.
• Labour hours for various departments and other products available (estimate).
• Yield per crop per product and area.
• Manage the planting program on excel order system and manage all planting losses.
• Manage the planting records on white board that it is accurate recorded by staff.
• Order seedlings and record plantings.
• Responsible for all stock control for the following: All pesticides, chemicals, seedlings/seeds, diesel, etc.
• Manage the petty cash.
• Ensure cash is fully received and accurately reported by farm sales.
• Proper controls are adhered to relating to farm sales.
• Responsible for the annual compilation of farm budget.
• Responsible for all purchases to comply with the procurement policy.
• Control function on payroll on the farm.
• Full control function on the farm.
• Full control function of the packhouse.
• Compliance with Global GAP.
• Understand the costings of the farm activities.
• Record on a manual basis the farm activities to enable you with the costings.
