Financial Controller – Cape Town CBD, Cape Town City

Our client is URGENTLY looking for a Financial Controller with 2-3 years’ experience.

Salary Negotiable to experience (Can Start Immediately)

Min Requirements
• Matric & B-comm degree
• 2-3 Years’ experience in similar role – management accounting
• Excellent Financial accuracy skills

Job Requirements
• Contribute to the financial viability of the client by managing financial risk exposure
• Develop and enforce a financial control framework that conforms to legislative requirements
• Identify (and where applicable manage the implementation thereof) ways for enabling the business to grow faster and be more efficient and profitable
• Develop and implement finance and accounting policies and procedures and maintain internal control safeguards
• Planning, setting, monitoring and controlling of budgets
• Reporting on the performance of the company to the Board of Directors on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Preparation of Management Accounts for the client, as well as two other entities
• Liaising with auditors for the annual audit and preparation of the audit pack
• General management of the Assistant Financial Controller in the Finance Department
• Managing revenue, debt collection and the internal audit process
• Ensure effective cost accounting as well as control and management of all company assets
• Assess the cost/benefit of all prospective contracts and advise the General Manager on implementation matters
