FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Salary: R20 000 – R22 000 p.m.

A leading International supplier of packaging engineering solutions based in Paarl, has an opportunity for a dynamic ACCOUNTANT to join their professional team. Strong competency Accounting, Stock Management, Logistics Coordination and Foreign Accounts will be advantageous. Candidate must be responsible, energetic person to manage the accounts division of Videojet, the ink jet coding business. This person will report directly to the general manager, must be highly efficient, pay attention to detail and be able to fit into an existing team and grow with the business.
The primary responsibilities for this position are:
• Job costing and Rental invoices
o Manage and control Videojet job costing
o Monthly reconciliation of stock accounts
o Maintain rental contracts
o Managing all aspects of works orders and purchase orders
o Update control sheets
o Dealing with warranties
• Manage Stores (Paarl & JHB)
o Manage stores personnel
o Place orders
o Manage stock counts and stock levels
o Develop and maintain stock models
• Foreign transactions
o Prepare all foreign payments
o Cash flow forecasts
o Manage proof of imports
The successful candidate must have:
• B. Com or similar qualification (Financial accounting 3 – minimum requirement)
• 5 – 10 years accounting and bookkeeping experience
• Experience in dealing with all aspects of foreign transactions
• Experience in job costing, purchasing orders and rental invoices
• The ability to manage the stores and stores personnel (Paarl & Johannesburg)
• Experienced in using accounting packages, ERP system & Excel
• Must be willing to travel
