Our client is a non-profit organisation based in the Southern Suburbs who offer a three month residential youth development programme for youth of the Western Cape. They are looking for a Financial Controller to join their team.

This is a contract position until 31 March 2018 (Renewable based on Performance)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accounting to Balance Sheet
• Cost and variance analysis
• Strategic and operational financial management skills
• Financial reporting
• Deal with statutory requirements (mostly SARS related)
• Supervision of bookkeeper
• Assisting HOD with Administration and Finance with Management and Financial Accounting functions
• Effective Asset Management
• Assist with annual audit process
• Implementation of internal control measures and cost saving measures

REQUIREMENTS:

• B.Com (Financial Management) or equivalent
• Accounting to Balance Sheet
• A valid Code B driver’s licence is compulsory
• MS Office suite especially Excel, Pastel, VIP
• Articles will be advantageous
• Certified copy of Code B driver’s license
• Articles would be advantageous

The ideal candidate has an aptitude for figures and must have good written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills. In addition you have strong problem analysis and solving skills, presentation skills as well as negotiation skills. With a keen eye for detail you are deadline driven, cost and experience in a supervisory role.
