The Financial Controller will be part of the Management team of the Africa Cluster leading the finance function and reporting directly to the Regional Director – Africa. This position requires a leader, who can lead the finance team, provide direction and achieve results. Work closely with the Regional Director to drive the business forward and help create a strategy for significant growth and expansion. Drive and improve systems, processes and create an efficient department within the cluster.



Qualification:

Qualified Accountant and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline



Skills & Experience:

3-5 years of relevant work experience

Excellent people management and leadership skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, someone who can gain credibility at all levels of an organization

Detail oriented, good project management and organization skills, analytical, logical skills and sound business acumen

Experience in a multi-national corporate environment with matrix structure

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Advanced user of MS Excel and PowerPoint; Hyperion knowledge is definitely an advantage

Willing to work under pressure, result-oriented and meet tight deadlines



Job Description:

Participate in the development and execution of the long term strategic vision of the Cluster.

Create and lead the financial strategy for the business to achieve its strategy and growth objectives.

Be a business partner working closely with the Regional Director and Business Unit Owners to lead and drive the commercial growth and success of the Cluster.

Oversee all financial operations and Accounting activities of the Cluster.

Responsible for financial management, reporting, financial audit, tax filing and planning, forecast and budgeting, cash flow forecast, capital investment, analysis and evaluate business performance.

Manage relations with banks, financial institutions and UK Head Office in relation to funding, transactional platforms and compliance.

Lead feasibility studies on business strategy and future M&A.

Communicate with internal and external auditors, tax advisor and bankers.

Review and implement financial control policies and procedures and be responsible for improvements to strengthen operational efficiency.

Continuing development and improvement in financial management system. Implementation of group policy and procedures.

Manage and develop the finance team.
