My client is a well-respected offshore law firm with offices in many international offshore jurisdictions. They are seeking a Financial Controller, to be based in Grand Cayman, with responsibility for reporting across the Caribbean region. Occasional travel will be expected.

The Role

Monthly and annual reporting to the board
Monitoring cash-flows and investment of cash and assets in hand
Managing annual audit in liaison with external auditors
Preparing annual budgets and reviewing in conjunction with the board
Identifying systems weaknesses and working constantly to improve systems and reporting
Supervision of junior staff

The candidate

Qualified accountant with at least 4 years PQE
Preference is given to candidates with prior experience of financial reporting in the legal field
Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of current international accounting standards
Excellent analytical skills, coupled with an engaging presentation manner
