Overall role: Manage team of administrators and the financial accounting processes

Responsibilities:
• Preparing, evaluating, interpreting and presenting monthly financial results
• Prepare annual budget
• Manage cash flow
• Manage team to ensure accurate processing of financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) & statutory requirements.
• Manage payroll function
• Manage annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Providing admin and financial support to CEO
• General company secretarial functions

Qualifications / Requirements:
• Tertiary accounting qualification (preferably CA/CIMA)
• Clear criminal and credit record
• Min of 5 years’ experience in commercial accounting
• Sound Pastel Evolution / MS Office competence.
• Solid experience in VAT, PAYE & income tax administration (e-filing)
• Competent application of VAT, PAYE and income tax law.
• Good interpersonal and team work skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Advantageous skills:
o Experience in e-commerce platforms
o Current or prior experience in the publishing trade
o Initiative and entrepreneurial skills
