RS Recruitment Services is assisting a rapidly expanding Manufacturing Company, to recruit a
FINANCIAL MANAGER to be based in their offices in Westmead, Durban.

APPLICANTS SHOULD HAVE/BE THE FOLLOWING:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent business experience and 10 years of progressively responsible
experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.
• Preferably a B. Compt with completed Articles.
• Preference will be given to CA and/or MBA candidates.
• ERP implementation experience.
• Fully versed in Pastal – current, able to take a handle on the finances from day one.
• Construction & manufacturing management experience would be advantageous.
• Experience in Export/Import and “International business” an advantage.
• Past experience in strategy planning & designing & submitting business plans to banks, grants & shareholders etc.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY, AUTHORITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

• Primary responsibility is ensuring financial and administrative effectiveness by providing leadership to the
• finance & admin department.
• Takes part in the executive committee together with the marketing and operations managers and the directors.
• As part of the executive committee, the position contributes to the development and implementation of
• organizational strategies, policies and practices.
• Exert authority and assume accountability, together with sub-department heads, for all the finance and admin sub-departments.
• Full liaison and responsibility for relationship building with suppliers through the buyer and with the following service providers:
Bank, Auditors, Legal, Consultants.
• Gatekeeper, ensure strict adherence to separation of responsibilities to avoid fraud and theft
• Manage funds in such a manner as to maximize return on investment while minimizing risk, and while also ensuring that an adequate
control structure is in place over the transfer and investment of funds.
• Financial analysis in such areas as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance.
• Manage the preparation of the company's budget
• In the role of FM show tangible evidence that he/she is contributing by his duties/responsibilities & authorities to the improvement
of the net profitability & to set up structures to report this to Exco.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

• Reports directly to the Financial Director
• Indirectly to the Executive Committee
