Financial Manager – Hospitality/Property Management

Our Client specialises in the maintenance of their world-class, high value, luxury properties.

They are looking for a Financial Manager who will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to senior management ensuring sound business decisions are made. The FM will be highly numerate and be able to interpret complex modeling and analysis, as well as a sound grasp of the financial systems and procedures.

The FM is responsible for all financial aspects relating to the day-to-day management of the company’s finances as well as the finances relating to the properties under management. The FM will ensure the finances are managed effectively to maximize profit while never compromising on the Guest experience.


Responsibilities:
? Provides and interprets financial information.
? Monitors and interprets cash flows and predicts future trends.
? Assists with formulating strategic and long-term business plans.
? Analyses financial trends and recommends appropriate courses of action.
? Develops financial management mechanisms th.
? Manages a company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
? Liaises with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.
? Produces accurate financial reports to specific deadlines.
? Manages budgets.
? Supervises and manages the Finance Team
? Keeps abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
? Manages all accounting operations including Client billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts payable, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory and
Revenue Recognition
? Responsible for the P&L in conjunction with the CEO & General Manager.
? Develops the yearly business plan
? Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and monthly variance reports.
? Provides financial reports and interpret financial information to management team, while recommending further courses of action.
? Analyzes costs, pricing, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans (Budget and Forecast).
? Prepares and publish timely monthly management accounts.
? Supports month-end and year-end close process.
? Manages and complies with local and government reporting requirements and tax filings.
? Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
? Manages the day to day operations of the accounting team.
? Conducts reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction/efficiency opportunities.
? All other finance related duties as assigned by the CEO.

Position Requirements:
? B.Comm or equivalent qualification with minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role and at least 10+ years of overall combined
accounting and finance experience.
? Proven track record in managing all aspects of a finance team/department and its operations.
? Experience in the hospitality sector with previous possible roles such as financial accountant/controller
? Proficient user of finance software
? Working knowledge of all relevant legislation and regulations
