A degree or honours degree majoring in Accounting and Finance.
Five year relevant working experience in Financial Management field of which one was in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of Pastel and other relevant accounting systems and IFRS, SA GAAP or GRAP.
Must be computer literate and have a valid driver’s licence.
Lead the finance team
Provide financial information that will enable directors to understand performance in their activities in the college and thereby improve financial effectiveness.
Co-ordinate and balance the cross college annual budgets and in-year forecasts.
Produce statutory reports and accounts in the finance area and ensure compliance and adoption of best practice.
Deputise for the CFO in all financial matters as required.
Be responsible for filling of returns to SARS, VAT and Income Tax.
Ensure that asset register and inventory are maintained and up to date.
