Well established and further evolving pharmaceutical company is seeking a reliable Finance Manager to supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. You will establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying and reporting financial information.

MAJOR DUTIES:
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Process month and end of year, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, budgeting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, debt activity, and process sales commissions, etc.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Supervise and manage payroll
• Provide recommendations to senior management.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Meet financial accounting objectives.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Collaborates with the other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Responds to inquiries from the CFO, Controller, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
• Approve employee time off and time sheets. Add missed employee time clock punches.
• Review staff employees and make salary recommendations.
• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.

SELECTION STANDARDS/QUALIFICATIONS
• CA (SA).
• 5 - 7 years related experience.
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to direct and supervise.
• Ability to plan and organize effectively daily.
• Ability to interact positively and communicate effectively.
• Effectiveness of follow-through and accuracy.
